KILMACANOGUE NATIONAL SCHOOL
WEDNESDAY NEWSLETTER
MARCH 3RD 2021
Dear Parents/Guardians and of course Boys and Girls,
We are all absolutely delighted to have the children from Junior Infants, Senior Infants, 1st and 2nd Classes back in school since Monday March 1st. There was great laughter and lots of smiles on the faces of those who walked up the little pathway to school at 9:10am last Monday. Everyone received a lucky golden chocolate coin……yummy!
The children will be playing outside as much as possible, so make sure that they are all wrapped up warmly as it is still a little chilly these days especially with the classroom windows open throughout the school for extra ventilation. Spring is here and the warm sunshine will soon make its way to Kilmacanogue National School.
It will not be long before all the rest of the children from 3rd up to 6th Classes will be returning to school…….we can’t wait to see you!!
Tá Seachtain na Gaeilge linn, ar fud na tíre, agus tá na páistí ag caint Gaeilge agus ag déanamh iarracht frásaí nua agus seanfhocail a fhoghlaim.
Conas atá tú? How are you?
Cad is ainm duit? What is your name?
Cá bhfuil tú i do chónaí? Where are you living?
Tús maith, leath na oibre: A good start is half the work
Is binn béal ina thost: Silence is golden
Níl aon tinteán mar do thinteán féin: There is no place like home
Déanaigí iarracht an Ghaeilge a labhairt i rith na seachtaine!! ???? ???? ????
SCÉAL NA MAIDINE: MORNING STORY
Dhúisigh mé.
Sheas mé suas
Nigh mé mo lámha.
Chuir mé m’eadaí orm.
Scuab mé mo chuid gruaige.
Thanks so much to everyone who filled in the mandatory Return to School Declaration Form for their children……100%. All the children are doing so very well, keeping their social distance where and when possible as well as washing and sanitising their hands throughout the day.
Here is a beautiful little bird made of stained glass by Maria Doyle in 6th Class. Well done, Maria, it is beautiful and so very delicate.
And now time for Miss Murray’s joke (scéal grinn)……as Gaeilge!!
Cnag! Cnag!
Cé atá ann?
Neilus!
Cén Neilus?
Níl fhios agam!!

Bígí cúramach agus fanaigí slán: Take care and stay safe
