 Dear Parents/Guardians, Boys and Girls,

And so the Christmas Holidays for 2019 are upon us and on Friday 20th December the school will close at noon to reopen Monday 6th January 2020. This final Wednesday Newsletter of 2019 is all about ‘Thanks’.

Thanks to our wonderful Parents’ Association of Lisa Dempsey, Sonia Draper, Liz Cafferkey, Liz Driver and Linda Giles for all the great work they have done throughout their relatively short term in office. Thanks to our Board of Management and especially to its chairperson, Judy O’Toole who work tirelessly for the whole school community.

Thanks to all our caring SNAs, Eva Hogan, Emma Sibley, Roisin Thorpe and Nadine O’Neill who mind all our children throughout the school and are always on hand to help no matter what. Thanks to Siobhan and Fiona for all the great work they do manning the phone and welcoming everyone into the school and carrying out all the busy secretarial work. Thanks to Kevin for looking after the school so well and maintaining it inside and out. Thanks to Colm and Ann for always keeping the school clean and tidy and fresh looking.

Thanks to all our teachers who work so hard every single day and go above and beyond the call of duty to provide the very best education possible to all the children in the school as was recently acknowledged by the Inspectors from the Department of Education in our excellent Whole School Evaluation. Thanks to all our wonderful parents who have always been so supportive and of course a HUGE THANKS to the most fabulous children in the world………the boys and girls of Kilmacanogue National School.

Congratulations to Lauren Cleary and Grace Brady from 3rd Class who won the Fire Safety Art Competition. They will be treated to a tour around the Fire Station this Thursday and will receive goodie bags from the Fire Officers.
